Easy All-Purpose Gluten Free Flour Blend

This gluten free flour blend can be used in many recipes

In baking with gluten free flours, you'll find that flour mixes generally perform better than a single type of flour used alone. Although breads and rolls will require special recipes to accomodate your GF flour, you can often substitute a GF mix with quite good results in many other recipes. Examples include cookies, muffins, and even pie crusts!

Here's a good all-purpose flour mix that can be used successfully in many recipes.

  • 1 1/2 cups brown rice flour
  • 1 1/2 cup white rice flour
  • 1/4 cup potato starch
  • 1 cup tapioca starch
  • 3-4 tsp xanthan gum
  • Whisk ingredients together and store in a container in the refrigerator until needed. Makes a little over 4 cups.
