Easy All-Purpose Gluten Free Flour Blend

In baking with gluten free flours, you'll find that flour mixes generally perform better than a single type of flour used alone. Although breads and rolls will require special recipes to accomodate your GF flour, you can often substitute a GF mix with quite good results in many other recipes. Examples include cookies, muffins, and even pie crusts! Here's a good all-purpose flour mix that can be used successfully in many recipes. - 1 1/2 cups brown rice flour
- 1 1/2 cup white rice flour
- 1/4 cup potato starch
- 1 cup tapioca starch
- 3-4 tsp xanthan gum
Whisk ingredients together and store in a container in the refrigerator until needed. Makes a little over 4 cups.
